Communications Committee

Our award winning Communications Committee is responsible for developing, updating and monitoring the Chinook Indian Nation’s communications, communication policies, social media accounts, and electronic discussion groups, as well as recommending new ways for the Chinook Nation to communicate with its members and other interested parties.

The committee is also responsible for content creation for both print and digital publishing. We also distributed  I’m Chinook and I Count tote bags, yard signs, buttons, refrigerator magnets and bumper stickers.

The committee is also responsible for content creation for our website and blog,  We look for and implement innovative ways to engage our membership, which include a book club featuring Native American writers, town halls, monthly social hours for artists and a very popular Chinookan Culture class.

The committee is also responsible for regularly communicating with and instructing office staff to send emails, update calendars regarding time and location of  Council Meetings, Events volunteer opportunities, and other updates on current events impacting the Chinook Indian Nation.
